MIM介紹

金屬粉末射出成型 (Metal Injection Moldling簡稱MIM), 近年已發展為粉末冶金產業中重要之一環並穩定地成長,是一種結合了塑膠射出及粉末冶金優點之成型技術。此製程將微細之金屬粉末與高分子黏結劑混和加熱後,得到具流動性之射料,再經由射出機的射出成型及脫脂、燒結製程,即可以自動化、大量地生產尺寸精密、且具複雜形狀之小型工件;此製程大大的減少傳統金屬加工的繁複程序與成本費用,因此在某些工業應用上具有一定的競爭優勢,目前已廣泛應用於機械、電子、汽車、鐘錶、光電、武器、生醫...等領域。

What is MIM?

The full name of MIM is “ powder metal injection molding”, also known as MIM(Metal Injection Molding) .  Over the years, MIM are used at the small components which are complex in shape.  

Below are the ways of the processes:

*First, add the Binder&Additives in the metal powder then mix them together, after that they will average disperse at raw material.  

*Second , the raw material will be mold for green parts after through the injection molding machine.

*Third, the green parts pass through the high sintering furnace equipment will become the metal components.

*Forth, some of the metal components will be required by secondary operation (such as: Heat treatmentCNC machiningsurface treatment ).  

*Finally, it will become the produce.

Below are the advantages of new MIM:

*MIM is differ from traditional PM in press molding.

*MIM is available for the component of the complex 3D shape.

*MIM mold appearance can be designed like as plastic mold, and it resemble in plastic mold more than 95%.

*MIM not only has male and female mold but also can add some design (just like slidetilt pin and so on) to achieve the complicated shape molding.
